Milton Troche (born July 28, 1948), better known by his ring name Slice Boogie, is an American professional wrestler who rose through the California independent circuit before gaining national exposure in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and Major League Wrestling (MLW). Known for his street-tough Bronx persona, sharp promos, and explosive brawling style, Slice Boogie became one of the more recognizable names on the indie scene of the 2020s.

Early Career – The Santino Bros Foundation (2018–present)

Boogie entered the professional wrestling scene later than many of his peers, debuting on November 23, 2018, at a Santino Bros Wrestling house show in California, defeating RJ Santos in his very first singles bout. Santino Bros, based in Los Angeles, became his home promotion and training ground.

During his run there, Boogie quickly grew into a top attraction, winning the SBW Championship three times, establishing himself as one of the company’s defining stars. His tough-guy Bronx gimmick, combined with a willingness to take risks and work hard, allowed him to stand out in a crowded independent market.

He also expanded outward into the American independent circuit, appearing in well-known promotions such as Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), Ring of Honor (ROH), and IWA Puerto Rico.

  • At ROH’s Death Before Dishonor XVII (September 27, 2019), he teamed with Chris Bey in a losing effort against Silas Young and Josh Woods.

  • At GCW Just Being Honest (January 24, 2020), he wrestled in a six-way scramble alongside Adrian Quest, Eli Everfly, Matt Vandagriff, and Starboy Charlie, with Gringo Loco emerging victorious.

These appearances increased his name value and built his reputation as a versatile competitor who could hang with some of the most athletic and innovative wrestlers on the indie scene.

National Wrestling Alliance (2021)

Slice Boogie’s breakout on a national level came in 2021, when he joined the NWA.

  • He debuted at NWA Back for the Attack (March 21, 2021), where he defeated Jax Dane, Jack Cartwheel, and Crimson in a four-way match.

  • He followed this with a singles win over Jeremiah Plunkett on NWA Powerrr 26.

Throughout 2021, Boogie was featured in several notable NWA events:

  • NWA Powerrr 29 (May 25, 2021): Competed in a number one contender battle royal for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, eventually won by Trevor Murdoch.

  • When Our Shadows Fall (June 6, 2021): Teamed with Marshe Rockett in a four-way tag team bout won by La Rebelión (Mecha Wolf and Bestia 666).

  • NWA 73rd Anniversary Show (August 29, 2021): Entered the battle royal for the NWA National Championshipcontendership, won by Judais.

  • He and Marshe Rockett entered the NWA World Tag Team Championship Eliminator Tournament, though they were eliminated in the first round by The Big Strong Pals (Matthew Mims & Sal Rinauro).

While he never captured NWA gold, Boogie used the opportunity to sharpen his character, gaining wider TV exposure and developing into a credible heel and mid-card presence.

Major League Wrestling (2021–2022) – 5150 and Championship Gold

Boogie’s next major break came when he signed with Major League Wrestling (MLW) in mid-2021. On July 10, 2021, at Battle Riot III, he was introduced by Konnan as a member of the new incarnation of LAX (Latin American Xchange), rebranded as 5150, alongside Danny “Rivera” Limelight and manager Julius Smokes.

That night, he:

  • Teamed with Rivera to defeat Injustice (Jordan Oliver & Myron Reed).

  • Entered the 41-man Battle Riot, a chaotic rumble-style match eventually won by Alexander Hammerstone.

5150 quickly became a focal point in MLW’s tag team division:

  • At Fightland (October 2, 2021), Boogie, Rivera, and Homicide fought Los Parks (L.A. Park, L.A. Park Jr., El Hijo de L.A. Park) to a no contest.

  • At War Chamber (November 6, 2021), Boogie and Rivera defeated Los Parks to capture the MLW World Tag Team Championship, Boogie’s first recognized world title.

  • At MLW Azteca (December 3, 2021), they successfully defended against Aero Star and Drago.

Their reign continued into 2022:

  • At Blood and Thunder (January 21, 2022), they defeated Los Parks in a rematch.

  • Their reign ended at SuperFight (February 26, 2022), when they dropped the belts to Hustle and Power (E.J. Nduka & Calvin Tankman).

Though relatively short, the title reign cemented Boogie and Rivera as a credible tag team and highlighted Boogie’s ability to perform on a larger stage.

Style and Persona

Slice Boogie is known for:

  • Hard-hitting brawling style: A mix of street-fighting toughness and traditional pro wrestling offense.

  • Charismatic promos: He often leaned into his Bronx upbringing, presenting himself as a no-nonsense fighter with swagger.

  • Tag team chemistry: His work in both the NWA and MLW frequently involved tag team or stable storylines, showcasing his adaptability as both a singles and tag competitor.

Championships and Accomplishments

  • Santino Bros Wrestling (SBW)

    • SBW Championship (3 times)

  • Major League Wrestling (MLW)

    • MLW World Tag Team Championship (1 time) – with Danny Rivera

  • Joint Independent Success: Multiple appearances across ROH, GCW, and IWA Puerto Rico helped establish his name beyond one promotion.

Legacy and Future

Though still relatively early in his career, Slice Boogie has already made an impression across multiple promotions. His time in NWA gave him national recognition, while MLW provided him with his first major championship run.

As a freelancer in the post-2022 era, Boogie continues to appear across the independent circuit, carrying the credibility of his national TV exposure and championship pedigree. His future remains open-ended, with opportunities to return to a major promotion or continue carving out his identity as a traveling independent star.
