Sunshine Through the Carnage: Xia Brookside Slays the Shadows in Monster’s Ball

Women's Wrestling

On June 5, 2025, the Monster’s Ball match didn’t just open the gates of hell—it invited it in for tea, and Xia Brookside was the one who kicked the devil’s chair out from under him. You might think of Xia as the sweet-faced Brit with sugar in her voice and glitter in her smile. But on this night, inside the asylum known as Monster’s Ball, she proved there’s steel behind those lashes and rage tucked beneath that fringe.

Her opponent? Rosemary. A woman who isn’t so much a wrestler as she is a waking nightmare. The face paint isn’t decoration—it’s a warning. The voice isn’t a promo—it’s an exorcism. Monster’s Ball is her home, her church, her therapy session. Doors, chairs, cookie sheets, belts, hockey sticks—hell, even hockey pucks made an appearance. The only thing missing was a straightjacket and a priest.

Dainty No More

Early on, Xia looked like a deer trapped in an abattoir. You could see it—hesitation, wide eyes, that moment where your lungs forget how to breathe. Rosemary smelled it, too. She stalked her like a feral animal, lashing out with everything not nailed to the floor.

But somewhere between the chair shots and the guttural growls, something broke—or maybe something clicked. Xia Brookside, the underdog with the Instagram smile, snapped. Not in fear, but in defiance. And that’s when this match became art.

She swung a hockey stick like a woman trying to erase every bad memory she ever had. Cookie sheets clanged. Doors shattered. Rosemary tried her mist—the infamous demonic green fog that’s dropped warriors twice Xia’s size—but Brookside was ready. She blocked it with a trash can lid like she was Captain bloody Britain.

The Brooksy Bomb That Shut Down the Seance

Then came the moment—Brookside, adrenaline-soaked and fire-eyed, scooped Rosemary up and planted her through a row of chairs with a Brooksy Bomb that damn near shook the spirits out of the rafters. One… two… three.

That wasn’t just a pin. That was an exorcism in boots.

Victory by Violence, Redemption by Blood

Brookside didn’t just survive the Monster’s Ball—she owned it. She walked through Rosemary’s haunted house and came out on the other side without a cross, without holy water, just her own grit and a dented trash can lid.

This wasn’t a fairy tale. This was a coming-of-age story written in bruises.

Next Up: The Elegance Brand at Against All Odds

If you thought this was just a horror short, think again. Later in the show, TNA made it official: Brookside will team with Myla Grace and Harley Hudson to take on the Elegance Brand at Against All Odds. The posh trio of Ash By Elegance, M By Elegance, and Heather By Elegance are in for more than a tea party. Xia’s not the same girl they remember.

She’s seen the monsters.

And she beat the biggest one.

So light your candles, lace your boots, and get the hell out of her way.

Because the sunshine kid just became a storm.
